Chiropractic colleges differ more than most programs on interviews. Palmer requires one, Parker may ask for one, and several schools list no interview at all. The most structured process we found is in Canada, where CMCC runs a recorded video interview built on eight named competencies. Here is what each school’s own pages say.

Which chiropractic colleges interview
There is no central application service for US chiropractic colleges, and most admit on a rolling basis with several start terms a year. Check each school’s page, since the interview rule varies.
| Program | Format | What their page says |
|---|---|---|
| Palmer College of Chiropractic | Required; campus, phone, or video | “An interview is required. Interviews are often held in conjunction with the campus visit program or may be conducted via phone or video conference.” Source |
| Parker University | At the committee's discretion | “Applicants may, at the discretion of the Admissions Committee, be required to appear for an interview or pre-admittance examination.” Source |
| Logan University | None listed | Logan’s admission requirements list no interview for the Doctor of Chiropractic. The same page lists an interview day for its physician assistant program. Source |
| Northwestern Health Sciences University | None listed | Its chiropractic admissions requirements page does not mention an interview. Source |
| Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) | Recorded video (Kira Talent) | “There will be eight (8) video questions and three (3) written questions.” One video question for each of eight competencies. Source |
The CMCC video interview, in detail
CMCC (Toronto) runs its interview on Kira Talent and spells out the rules on a page updated February 27, 2026 (CMCC):
- “You will be allotted 20 seconds to prepare a response to the question.”
- “You will have up to four (4) minutes to respond to the question.”
- “You will be allowed up to ten (10) minutes for your written response to each of the three questions.”
The eight competencies are Communication, Collaboration, Equity, Ethics, Problem Solving, Professionalism, Resilience, and Self-Awareness, and “You will be asked one video question for each of the competencies.” Questions come in three types: structured behavioral, case or scenario (“You are presented with a realistic problem and are asked to think aloud, propose a plan, and justify choices.”), and situational judgment (“Hypothetical situations with multiple plausible responses.”).
CMCC also says what a good answer looks like: “A strong interview response will not only provide details about the strategy, but also will clearly demonstrate your reasoning, as well as your understanding of potential obstacles, barriers, and consequences you may encounter.” That advice works for any chiropractic interview. For more on this format, see our Kira Talent video interview guide.

Practice questions
Most programs don’t publish their questions. These are my practice prompts, not questions any program has published:
- Why chiropractic, and what does a chiropractor do that other providers don’t?
- Tell us about a time you worked with someone who disagreed with you. (Collaboration)
- A patient asks you to keep treating them, but they aren’t improving. What do you do? (Ethics)
- Tell us about a setback and how you recovered. (Resilience)
- What is a weakness you are working on? (Self-Awareness)
- How would you explain a treatment plan to a skeptical patient? (Communication)
- Why our college?
How to prepare
- Check whether your school interviews. Palmer requires it, Parker may ask, and others list none.
- Prepare one story per competency using CMCC’s eight as a checklist. They cover most of what any program will ask.
- For case questions, think out loud. CMCC wants your plan, your reasoning, and the obstacles you see.
- Practice with a 20-second prep timer if your interview is recorded.
- Visit if you can. Palmer often pairs interviews with its campus visit program.
Your interviewers may have your application in front of them, so reread your own chiropractic personal statement before the interview. If you haven’t submitted yet, see our chiropractic personal statement examples, or work with Lauren Hammond, PhD, our personal statement editor.

Julie Cunningham, a licensed speech-language pathologist, covers how to sound natural on a recorded interview in her Kira Talent assessment tips.
Practice with a real interviewer before the real one. My wife, Julie Cunningham, MA, CCC-SLP, is a licensed speech-language pathologist who runs mock interviews on Zoom for chiropractic school applicants. She coaches every format: one-on-one, panel, MMI, and recorded video interviews such as Kira Talent. She works on how your answers come across: clear key words, pace, voice, filler words, organizing an answer so it has a point, staying steady when you’re nervous, and how you look and sound on camera. It’s $250 an hour.
